Well, I seriously have never done this before – however we have been fabulously amazed (and grateful) for the amount of emails asking where we got the wonderful kite from in the above pics (from this session).
So many infact that Ive decided to blog and own up to our secret source! Its very very secret – and I must ask that you not tell a soul because it came from the most fabulous of creative people.
Infact.. Talia made it. My daughter.
Ok not singled handedly – she had my help, and Penny’s and a little of Simon’s too when it came to cutting it out. (There was probably even a little of Ede dribble in there too!).
You see, we were in a hotel room for so long that we decided one day to add to our afternoon walks by flying a kite as we go. We searched high and low for the “perfect” kite. And we simply couldnt find one. So, we decided to get two peices of wood, some material, string, needle and thread, and well..make a kite ourselves.
Then when Kristen contacted us to say she was bringing along paper hearts to her family session, we decided to cut out a heart shape in the blue also and bring them both along too. One for each child. The kite needed a little help flying, but it was still fun.
There you have it.
