From a recent session in Jindabyne, Australia.  Two years in the making – and I am so thankful….. so so thankful that they picked me as their family photographer.

Thank you Kate.

Together we dreamed up this wonderful winter wonderland shoot and it was just so fun. Of course, being winter we didn’t have long to shoot even though it was September here which really means it was Spring. Christmas has extra special meaning to this family, and I will definitely be sure to share some more from this session as the holidays draw near.

Sweet Taylah and her mum – I have been asked to share more from this session and promised I would – and then didn’t get around to it.  I’m sorry. I have bloggers guilt. Its social media’s fault – I’m going to blame that (here’s me pointing all my fingers at social media like a 5 year old!).  These days I post one image on instagram, meaning to share more but never really get to it, and my social media brain goes into over-drive.

But, the upside is, since I’m going to blog again, its fun to go back and share.

This entire session was filmed as part of my online workshop video series “Maternity, Mum & Baby“. Which is actually the last of our 3 part series, however we released it first.  I know, always walking backward, its much more fun that way.

Its a wrap up of both Styled and Lifestyle sessions, which compliments the upcoming JinkyArt Styled Sessions Video series & The JinkyLife Lifestyle Sessions Video series. The JinkyArt one is coming next. Just like my blogging, things take a wee while to organise.

About Blogging

posted in: Babies

A friend recently asked me why I no-longer blog and my mind immediately went to ask, “well, does anyone actually blog anymore?”.  Then of course, I felt all nostalgic and sad for the loss of all the blogs on the planet and went hunting to see if I was in fact correct.

And what do you know, I was wrong. There are still so many bloggers out there tapping away at their keyboards. Not that I was ever a “talking blog”.  I am one of those people who worry entirely too much about how people might read what I’m saying incorrectly, or judge me, or burst into hysterical laughter over my ridiculousness.

But then, it occurred me to that since I turned the big 4.0, I have been less inclined to worry about such things. I think its like fine wine, I’m improving with age?  Or is it that I just can’t be bothered with that when there are so many lovely people out there! I think it might be that.

Plus, I know not everyone ‘does’ social media right?  So, here I am blogging.

Why not! I say – and I have so many shoots I could have blogged but never did. So Im going to go back and do that.  It’ll be fun. So if you are the 1 person reading this, thank you. I appreciate you very much!

This is baby Harriett. Sweetest little baby.
